"I thought everything was going to be ok when my son was born. I had a huge surprise when Dane was brought into this world. He had a heart disease and open heart surgery at 9 days old. I ended up staying at The Children's Hospital in Denver for 4 months. There was no way I could work. I needed to be with my baby.
