"I thought everything was going to be ok when my son was born. I had a huge surprise when Dane was brought into this world. He had a heart disease and open heart surgery at 9 days old. I ended up staying at The Children's Hospital in Denver for 4 months. There was no way I could work. I needed to be with my baby.
With help from Sgt. D's, I did not have to worry about anything except my son and for that I am grateful. They raised enough money for my family that we didn't have to lose our car or apartment. There are no words I can say to explain how much that helped us to be there 100% for Dane. Thank you Sgt. D's!"
